. Pitch and Putt is a unique form of golf that allows players of all ages and abilities to play the game in a short period of time. In a little more than two hours, a foursome can complete 18 holes at a reasonable cost. Pitch and Putt provides all golfers with variety when played in conjunction with full courses. Pitch and Putt, with a few exceptions, uses the same rules as regular golf but is played on a much shorter course with a smaller selection of clubs. Generally holes are 40 to 90 metres in length and the entire 18 holes is 1, 200 metres or less. Standard rules call for the use of only 3 clubs, one of which must be a putter. We do not see Pitch and Putt replacing or competing with the standard form of golf. With its advantage in time and cost we think it will be a great alternative for golfers and provide an excellent introduction to new players. This format has been growing dramatically throughout Europe over the past decade and we think the time is right for expansion in North America. Although relatively unknown in Canada, we have one of the oldest operating Pitch and Putt courses in Vancouver's Stanley Park which opened in 1932. Take some time to explore our site, learn more about the game and visit related sites throughout the world.
